Departmental Aims

Within the school framework the Biology department aims:
• To make pupils aware of the vital contribution Biology makes to people’s everyday lives, health and the well-being of the environment both locally and world-wide
• To encourage respect for the welfare of animal and plant life and the environment
• To ensure that all pupil’s learning experiences have quality, and value
• To make Biology interesting, varied and relevant to pupils of all abilities by encouraging their active involvement in the learning process
